Puerto Vallarta or "PV" as savvy travelers have started calling it, now has seven golf courses. Jack Nicklaus and other Golf Course designers have created courses in this tropical destination in Mexico, among them Tom Weiskopf and Robert von Hagge. With the advent of a larger assortment of world class courses and resorts, some in Puerto Vallarta, some in Nuevo Vallarta and further north, Vallarta can now claim to be a true worldclass golf destination.

Puerto Vallarta might soon take the place of Los Cabos - Cabo San Lucas as the leading golf destination in Mexico.
